I specialize in teaching classical Suzuki method, however, my teaching skills are broad. Starting from beginner level students and teaching them technicalities and specifics of classical violin to teaching students of any age creative writing and spontaneous playing. I also specialize in creative pop song writing and alternative recording. This includes training students who see themselves pursuing playing violin for bands and in more diverse musical cultures. I train everyone with at least a basic skill set and understanding of classical violin and sight reading, then allow them to choose if they want to stick with classical violin or dive into ear training and creative writing. I've been teaching woodwinds and strings for about 8 years now, to students of all ages and abilities. In that time, I've worked with students making their very first sounds, all the way to helping my students successfully audition for university music programs (often receiving scholarship!). My training and certification in Music Therapy gives me an additional perspective on how music and musical ideas can be used to improve and assist all aspects of life, and in particular I enjoy working with students who possess learning or developmental difficulties. I am an active member of Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC). My students take the Certificate of Merit (CM) test annually in performance, theory, sight-reading and ear training. Taking the CM test is optional but highly recommended. I also make sure my students have plenty of chances at performing on stage at recitals by organizing my own recitals or joining forces with other MTAC teachers. Having a recital to practice for is a great motivation for students to practice daily and gives the parents the chance to see their children's accomplishments. Read More

I have taught violin since the year 2011. My students have primarily been between the ages of 10-16 with the exception of one student being in her 40's. I have taught beginners to advanced beginners, and most of my students have to this point hired me to train for a particular upcoming audition.
