I encourage my students to write their own pieces and perform for one another in my "musical get togethers" held in my studio or sometimes in larger venues. For beginning students I like to begin with a combination of Hal Leonard's Essential Elements and Suzuki Method books. I find Essential Elements to be useful for learning the fundamentals of playing the instrument and music theory. However, Suzuki offers the ability for students to quickly play solo repertoire. I also incorporate learning and understanding scales for the purpose of learning fingering patterns and intonation. As students progress, I also find Rick Monney's Positions Pieces extremely valuable. Read More

My performing efforts were well received from the very beginning of my career recital and solo recordings for the Bulgarian National Radio and Television. My professional orchestra career began in Bulgaria at The National Radio Orchestra and at the same time I was holding the first chair as a principal at New Symphony Orchestra with conductor and music director - Rosen Milanov –presently assistant conductor of Philadelphia Philharmonic.
