My name is Daniel Erdahl or as kids often call me, Mr. Dan. I have been playing and studying music for nearly 30 years, and teaching for 20. I play and teach many, many styles. I started playing rock and blues as a kid, later becoming very focused on classical guitar. My love for teaching began as a peer tutor in college. I tutored students in piano, guitar, bass ear training, and music theory. I began to love teaching when I noticed the change and progress it creates within people. While in college, I taught at a musical theatre camp as a music teacher. I taught music theory, ear training, and vocal music. Right after I graduated college I was accepted into the music education program at Teachers College Columbia University where I received my masters degree in music education along with certification in New York state to teach Pre-K through 12. For intermediate students we work on polishing technique. I also use the Royal College of Music series for young students who are interested in taking the ABRSM placement exam.
