Proper technique, learning the notes, and learning how to practice effectively is a great place to start. Even ten minutes a day is better than not practicing. Making lessons fun and giving students tools to bring home is very important to me. Hello folks, my name is Andy. I am a 23-year-old musician with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Framingham State University. I am predominantly a bass guitarist, with an affinity towards jazz, psychedelic rock, alternative, metal, prog, and sometimes just straight up pop. I greatly enjoy working with younger musicians and spreading the practice of musical exploration. I'm happy to work with musicians of all ages and levels of experience, with the intent of helping students develop the skills they'll need to meet their individual goals. Read More

I started teaching privately in 2010, beginning with in home lessons. Since then I have taught in a private studio, working with students of all ages, levels, and musical sounds. I have even taught classes at the college level, focusing on music theory and history of rock and roll. What I love about teaching music is how I get to share my passion for music and the arts with my students, show that how great it is, and guide them to reaching their own musical goals, exceed their own expectations, and grow as individuals. One of my first experiences teaching was in 2010 as a freshmen in college. I would teach my roommate different scales and some basic music theory. I really enjoyed helping him connect the dots and found it made a huge difference in the music we played together. To this day him and i are still close friends and are still making music together 8 years later. Since graduating college in 2014 my time has mostly been spent performing and touring. Read More
