In 2012, I had the chance to attended the yearly Summer Berklee Program, which takes place in Perugia (Italy) during the Umbria Jazz festival and I won a scholarship for the yearly Berklee Summer Camp. A year later I attended the Five-Week program at Berklee, Boston and got another scholarship that allowed me to enroll at Berklee College of Music in 2014 as an undergraduate student. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. All these books are great, but I believe it depends on the individual student and how they learn. I also teach tab to beginners. I feel it is important to read tabs these days as well as notes.
