My ultimate goal would be to guide students through their growth in music and abilities. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing that I have shared my knowledge and passion with a student and they grew from it. I believe that every student learns differently, so I teach lessons according to how they learn. As an itinerate teacher I travelled between three school buildings within the district and sometimes two buildings within the same day. It was a challenge as well as very rewarding to have prepared them for the several wonderful performances that they did do that year. I tailor my lessons specifically to each students goals and needs and I always make sure to let them know how much theyre progressing. I am passionate about singing and about teaching others singing technique. I have my bachelor‘s degree in music from the University of Mount Olive. I also studied in the Masters program at ECU for vocal pedagogy. I’ve had leads in local operas and and I am also a vocal artist who sings gospel music along with other genres.
