There will be no stiff, boring repetition drills or endless scales to perfect. My lessons are meant to teach you new material, offer insight, correct technique, answer questions, and encourage progress. I like the student to pick their area of interest of musical genre.From there, we develop the style in accordance to the students desire.Chord theory,structure, soloing are all part of the training.Students pick the songs and we take it from there.While method books are available, most are boring examples of how to attain artistry. Guitar lessons are customized for each student. Teaching style includes finger exercising, chord knowledge, learning songs/riffs, jamming - soloing , music theory and note reading (if desired). I usually use a basic method book to get the basics going then, depending on the student, tailor a course that they hopefully find interesting and fun. I began teaching as a side gig in college. I found I loved connecting with students, and helping them along their musical journey. Once I graduated I began teaching at a music school started by some fellow alumni. There I was able to refine my teaching style and focus on stimulating creativity in my students. I have spent most of my life studying and sharing my love of music.  I started studying music theory at age 9, guitar at age 11 and piano at age 16.  I graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music and also completed a Master Certification in Writing and Production from Berklee College of Music.  I have been lucky to tour nationally with my former band and performed at SXSW and CMJ.
