I want my students to learn the basic techniques on how to use their vocal chords, where to place their voices, how to memorize, how to hold the mic, how to emcee, how to phrase, express, improvise which really needs time in learning. Singers use a lot of different emotions and they need to feel very much at home with their teacher in order to explore those moods. I teach taking into account the the student's age level and ability, and I'm very sensitive to time-constraints that most students have during their week. I keep track each week in a notebook of what their assignments are. I use many different books, learning by ear, learning by youtube, learning by rout, and I have developed my own music writing technique which decodes any song at any level to a much easier level because all students are unique, and deserve to have a teacher who can reach them. It is also very important to me that the student picks their own songs to learn as part of the curriculum, and I will help the student discover which style fits them the best. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my high school days, as I rose to become section leader of the clarinet section in band and section leader of the alto section in choir. Since then, I have been teaching private lessons to students of all different ages and skill levels, as well as individuals with disabilities.
