I studied elementary education but even when I was in the general classroom I used music. I enjoyed making up songs to help different skills and ideas stick. Students will be able to choose repertoire and learn technique through the music they love. Students are encouraged to discuss the music that they are interested in, their goals, and interests. For young beginning voice students, I start with lessons on proper breath support, sight-singing, intonation exercises, and warm-ups to shape their voice.
