My degree is in classical vocal performance and I've lived all over the U.S. and maintained a teaching studio over the last 20+ years. Because of this, I feel it is important to maintain a comfortable environment. I encourage my students to let go of their self-doubt and allow themselves to make mistakes. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I have entertained audiences in several different countries and I bring a unique blend of multicultural experiences into everything I do. My teaching style is best referred to as a facilitator. Essentially, I promote self-learning, helping students develop critical thinking skills and retain knowledge that leads to self-actualization. I prefer to guide students by letting them think for themselves, pointing out when mistakes are made but also encouraging them to learn and grow from them. The draw back from this is that it can be a bit time consuming, but I feel that at the end of the day, this helps a student so that eventually they will be able to learn by themselves without a teacher.
