Like a finger print , each case is different and individual. I love to teach the student that the whole voice needs to function as one and not divide things into registers. Once I find out their level, I take things one step at a time. I always do warm ups, and exercises based on wha t they need work on. I am patient with the students but I do expect them to come prepared. If they do well, I will absoutely let them know, and if they need to work on something, I politely let them know. While I was a graduate student at Columbia University, I had the chance to collaborate with and learn from some of the amazing talent the New York City has to offer. I found herself thriving in this nexus of different musical styles, ranging from classical South Indian to out-and-out rock.
