I use a variety of methods for my teaching style. I usually have a few method books that I bring to a first lesson, and after meeting the student I will decide on the best one. Once the student has progressed and shows some motivation to be slightly challenged, I'll introduce "popular" music so that the student feels a sense of accomplishment! I am very patient when teaching and I will challenge when I feel the student is ready for a certain challenge. One of my main goals as a teacher is to get to know my student, how they best learn, and what it is they love about music. My own love for music and particular bands/genres is what gave me the drive to keep practicing, and I bring this same approach to each of my lessons. I have experience singing professionally in operatic productions, as a soloist in concerts and recitals, in choirs and churches. I have also enjoyed singing in smaller venues for children and senior citizens.
