My teaching experience began when I completed my degree in Music Education 10 years ago. Since that time I have been teaching private lessons to students of all ages. As a teacher, I believe it is my job to meet my students where they are in their development, and prescribe exercises, repertoire, and information that will help the student with each of their individual needs and goals. I have enjoyed playing, singing and accompanying vocally and on piano, organ and keyboard since the age of 7.  I have both Choir and Solo vocal experience as well as played piano and organ for Churches and special performances. I'm always on the lookout for that new sound, melody or lyric that catches my attention in a song. It's my passion to help students discover their unique musicality. I've performed at weddings, select collegiate groups in symphonic and choral ensembles. We covered styles ranging from Baroque to Modern Jazz. Since then, I've experiemented with EDM and folk music. I create custom lesson plans for each student, for unlike the trombone or the cello, everyone's voice is considerably different. I will first hear the students goals, and where they want to go, or what they want to do.
