I am a passionate and very relatable teacher who absolutely loves sharing my love for music with my students as I endeavor to help them become skilled and engaged musicians themselves. I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2010. I have had the opportunity to perform all over the world, including 6 countries in Europe, Taiwan, and Russia. I have been singing and teaching for over 30 years both professionally and for my own enjoyment.  Singing is my passion, it is what I do.  I have found that teaching someone to enjoy and express themselves through music is perhaps one of the most rewarding things I do.  For the past several  years I have had the privilege to teach within several school districts as a Private Voice Instructor. These districts include Arlington ISD, Grapevine ISD, Plano ISD and Lewisville ISD.  During my time with Grapevine ISD I worked closely with Music Faculty in support of their program which included writing curriculum for the Music History program.  I work closely with my students and their Choral Director to make the musical experience fun and rewarding.  At the end of the school year the students perform in recital for their parents and friends.  I am always very proud of my students as they demonstrate what they have learned and how much they have improved through the year. I have worked with many music methods and numerous curriculums: Alfred, Faber, Piano Pronto, Hal Leonard, Bastian, Eric Steiner Rice, Faber, Dogs and Birds, Mr. Everybody's Musical Apt., Sandy Hoffman, Carol Tournquist etc. to name a few.  I start out with a general introduction and progress to choosing the core curriculum according to the student's ability and desire in music.  Music is a vast Science and lessons plans will be created around your goal in music rather than a rigid method, though we will adhere to curriculum to be sure that we are thorough and you receive a complete music education.  I have general curriculum, genre' specific curriculum such as Jazz, Blues etc. as well as curriculum geared toward training Church Musicians. I am an opera singer who recently returned to the US from Germany and have a passion for teaching. I received my Doctor of Musical of Arts in voice from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 2016.
