I began teaching while at the Hartt School; where, after taking a number of courses in vocal pedagogy, I gave voice lessons to music students majoring in other instruments. I also tutored beginner and intermediate ear training while at the Hartt School. Following graduation, I taught private voice at a music and dance center in central Connecticut. For the last several years, I have been teaching at a number of community-based schools around Connecticut, including the Community Music School of Essex, Middlesex Music Academy, and Charles' Music Center. Having pursued music from a young age, my experiences as a vocal soloist and choir member have brought me all over the world, performing in such musical landmarks as the Sydney Opera House, Smetana Hall, and Carnegie Hall. I grew up learning both voice and piano, and my musical education has provided me more confidence and opportunities in all aspects of life than I ever could have imagined. I began teaching while pursuing my undergraduate degree in California and have since expanded my studio to include a wide spectrum of ages, styles, and experience levels.In 2012, I received my BA in Music with an emphasis in classical voice from Pepperdine University and have since gone on to complete my MM in Voice Performance from The Boston Conservatory. I started teaching in high school and then decided to pursue degrees in performance and music education. At UNH I taught lessons part time for four years.  I always put students needs and schedules first and met them either in my studio or at their home.  I encourage all of my students to practice at home using techniques that are effective.  I engage my students each lesson, ensuring they are constantly improving as well as enjoying their musical experience.  It is my duty as an educator to pass my love of music onto my pupils.  My students are of all ages and skill levels.  I encourage them to enter competitions and recitals, train their ears, learn about music history, and have musical intentions whenever they play.  I will help my students to achieve any level of playing.
