Instruments: Piano Voice

My voice and piano studio teaching had it genesis in 1985 with a private home studio in Chicago. Since then, I have taught in church programs (choral students working on solo voice) as well as in the university setting (student teaching and TA voice class support). I have also led seminars in Group Voice and Cantor Training for Church and Liturgy and Worship. Wherever you are at, we accept, as a dual-team, and then, collectively design a way to help you achieve what it is you desire. Read More

I am not a teacher of "cookie cutter" lessons. I like to consult with parents and students before preparing an individually-tailored lesson plan for each of my students. It's my goal to engage students through music they already love, and (at the same time) introduce them to new music ideas and musical concepts/challenges. Building early repoire between teacher and student is crucial to building a working knowledge for performing music later on. Read More

Over the years of my experience in singing, I have learned to be a psychologist; for each student I can find an individual approach, look into the soul and see the potential. Every student should understand that vocal training requires physical and mental activity, so classes require a full concentration. Read More

I have 10+ years of experience teaching. I have taught students from 7 to 80+ years old. I've always been passionate about passing on information and developing confidence in the students. I have taught both in larger groups of people in choirs as well as individual lessons in my studio. My goal is to empower the student to have the tools to practice alone and develop further on their skills at any given moment of their vocal journey. Read More
