Technique studies can always be improved and studied, no matter a student's age or proficiency. I try to work within the repertoire a student is interested in at first, then expanding to materials and genres the student may find interesting to help broaden the experience and knowledge a student can gain from our lessons. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a BA in music in vocal performance in 2013, and in 2012, I had the amazing experience of studying under the renowned soprano, Delia Surratt, in Rome. I have been singing since I was 6, playing trumpet since I was 10, and I picked up guitar in my early 20's. I am now 49 and have taught voice, guitar, trumpet for over 7 years from my cozy home. I have been part of many musical ensembles (in many genres) in my 30 year career and have session work that's currently located in the Seattle Rock Roll museum. I wish to continue on into graduate school for Music Therapy, and for this reason, I also have experience working with both adolescence and adults that have developmental disabilities.
