I have been singing and teaching for over 30 years both professionally and for my own enjoyment.  Singing is my passion, it is what I do.  I have found that teaching someone to enjoy and express themselves through music is perhaps one of the most rewarding things I do.  For the past several  years I have had the privilege to teach within several school districts as a Private Voice Instructor. These districts include Arlington ISD, Grapevine ISD, Plano ISD and Lewisville ISD.  During my time with Grapevine ISD I worked closely with Music Faculty in support of their program which included writing curriculum for the Music History program.  I work closely with my students and their Choral Director to make the musical experience fun and rewarding.  At the end of the school year the students perform in recital for their parents and friends.  I am always very proud of my students as they demonstrate what they have learned and how much they have improved through the year. My teaching experience began when I completed my degree in Music Education 10 years ago. Since that time I have been teaching private lessons to students of all ages. As a teacher, I believe it is my job to meet my students where they are in their development, and prescribe exercises, repertoire, and information that will help the student with each of their individual needs and goals. He also written produced the theme song for an up and coming television show as well as scoring for a documentary film.Accomplished in jazz, classical, rock, funk/r&b as well as well other styles of music.  He has performed regularly with several jazz groups around the DFW area. He also has performed with and co-produced for recording artists from the Nashville, Miami and Washington D.C. areas. I love to watch singers reach their full potential by helping them find their true singing voice and perform with confidence and freedom!  I began performing at age three and have sung and played different styles and genres for different audiences ever since.  My foundational training is in classical voice, earning my Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Mississippi in 1991.  I was then awarded an Apprenticeship with the Knoxville Opera and a Graduate Teaching Assistantship at the University of Tennessee, where I earned my Masters of Music in Vocal Performance in 1993.
