Teaching is my passion and calling, i can't think of doing anything else! In 2013 I graduated from Fairfield University with a triple major in English, Gender Studies, and Violin Performance. While studying at University I started my band with my sister, Verdigrls. We have gone on to put out an EP, play all over the NY metropolitan area as well as have our music featured in movies and television. I started teaching during my time at NYU. An interesting fact about my particular vocal journey is that because I had never really had formal voice training, I was learning vocal concepts from a scientific and theoretical perspective in the classroom while concurrently learning them in my own body and voice in my own lessons. I think this gave my a unique perspective into how our bodies naturally learn and acquire new skills as they relate to singing. Read More

Establishing a trusting and balanced bond between teacher and student is imperative to musical growth. Everyone has their own tastes, goals and preferred learning and communication styles. I take pride in embracing more of a mentoring approach, tailoring my teaching style and materials to each individual student in hopes of guiding them on their musical journey rather than choosing it for them. For beginning piano students, I typically start with the Hal Leonard "My First Piano Adventure for the Young Beginner," series. As students progress in their piano studies, I begin introducing solo repertoire that will support the concepts being learned in the book series. I will also assign small writing projects from time to time, to sharpen students' compositional and music reading skills.
