We always spend time at the end singing something they want to sing, it's important to not feel pressured into music. We will build a repertoire of songs the student is connected to and work towards a set list for a showcase. My favorite moments while teaching is the light bulb moments, for these to occure lessons are goal based and created around the students level of exsperiece, future goals, and personal goals. In the first lesson we set mini goals for each lesson, medium goals for the month, and large goals for something we want to work towards or a up and coming competition. I use a positive environment to help student feel good about their accomplishments, but also have them discover areas of improvement by recording them or asking them what they feel they did well and what they feel they need to work on. My method varies with each student. I listen to the students needs and use my expertise to help them achieve their goals. For younger students, I use a variety of material but very much like The Royal Conservatory Program. In the age of, "American Idol", "The Voice" and "Glee", everyone wants to be a star overnight. While this enthusiasm is wonderful, it is sometimes difficult to direct students to material that suits their voice and will build their instrument. Read More

I have been passionate instructor and have been playing multi instruments for 15+ years. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and work as an ABA Therapist for autistic children.
