In junior high and high school I was selected to play for the Junior Pacific Symphony Orchestra, received scholarships to music summer camps, and was selected musician of the year. I approach teaching by focusing on the student. I find out what they need and want first. We set realistic goals together and I give them the tools to help them reach their goals. I don't want my students to be entirely dependent on me.
