Overview:

As an artist myself, I know how vulnerable it can be to share your voice. I also know that it is one of the most beautiful and gratifying ways to express yourself. With 15+ years of experience performing, recording, arranging and coaching vocals, I'm very confident I can help you reach your singing goals! I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Major in Songwriting and as a Vocal Principle. I really believe in creating a fun and safe space for my students to grow. You probably won't have a difficult time getting a laugh out of me. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and hopefully creating beautiful coach/student relationships. I also love astrology, psychology, action movies, cooking, writing, yoga, and animals!

EXPERIENCE

I began teaching back in Boston when I was finishing up college. I immediately loved it and have been teaching now for over 7 years. I love teaching online and in person lessons in my studio, but I have also taught at various schools. I really focus on making my student comfortable and eager to learn more. I love music so much and I hope some of that shines through and inspires my students. I have also helped prep my students of all ages for various auditions, performances, recitals, etc. Recently I had my longtime student in a professional recording studio for the first time and coached her through that process, which was very cool to witness!

METHODS USED

I like to approach vocal lessons from a technical and holistic standpoint. A typical lesson for me usually begins with whatever warm-ups and exercises I feel fit our goals, and a check in to see how you're doing and if there is anything in particular you want to focus on improving. I have a lot of really effective exercises that'll get your voice where you need it to go! I work a lot with placement and support in my singing lessons, and I use a lot of visualization techniques to get you in the right placement. We work a lot on strengthening every part of your voice, especially your mix so you can sing a wide variety of things! I'm a really positive and uplifting coach. I'm not a very gruff or strict teacher, so if that's what you think you need I may not be the best fit. I try to make my lessons a fun experience.

LESSON STYLE

I approach teaching with an empathetic, open mind. I truly want to get to know my students and their goals, so I can help them the best I can. I'm very patient and will push a student to do more but at their own pace. I help students use mindset and visualization tricks to unlock new potential. I'm very motivation oriented and encourage my students as best I can when things are more difficult. I like to give my students digestible workloads so they can really focus on one thing at a time. I also like to encourage students to bring in music they themselves like that we can learn!

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
