Hello! I'm a vocal instructor with 10+ years of experience at the college level, but have taught all voice types and a large range of ages! I enjoy teaching all types of repertoire and have expertise in classical literature and musical theater. I began my studies as a musical theater major and then transitioned into classical music, specifically as a mezzo-soprano opera singer! I have sung all over the world as a professional opera singer, including Italy, Ireland, Japan and many places within the United States. Read More

One of my biggest loves is to help my students to learn interpertation. You cannot know how happy it makes me when I see a student use the music to express who they really are. I try to make my lessons as fun and carefree as possible. I know the only wau my students will have any fun is if they trust me and themselves. I try to gain that trust and to respect it. Read More

I have a deep joy for music making that I have eagerly shared with my students for the last 15 years. In addition to my varied teaching career, I am also a full-time freelance musician and travel all over the country and the world (Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Rome, Dublin) as a soloist and ensemble member. I have been fortunate to make music professionally since I was a teenager which inspired me to earn a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory and History, and Master of Music in Vocal Performance. As far a voice lessons goes, in the beginning there will be many warm-ups before we move on to repertoire. As an instructor, I want to know what type of voice I am working with. It is very important to exercise your vocal chords and train them to be able sing properly. Also, we will be working a lot on posture; how to stand when singing, showing confidence and more! I am a passionate music teacher that strives towards my students' successes. I graduated in 2009 from University of the Arts with a Bachelor of the Arts in Music Composition. My love for music has lead me to perform with my latin/rb band Buddy Roc The Heartbreak Kids all over the Greater Philadelphia area. In October 2017, we were featured as Coors Light Artist of the Month where they sponsored my video for my song "Next Man". Read More

For younger students, I tend to focus on the production of breath and basic sounds as they begin to grow into their body. This is to ensure that the baseline technique is there as they find how their instrument, the voice, is growing into their developing selves. For adult students of any technique, I prefer to start with basic vocal exercises to test the agility and flexibility of the voice so that I have an understanding of how their matured voice functions. I teach both classical reading and modern music theory to ensure a well rounded approach. I use the book series by Faber to cover classical reading. I believe Faber books do an excellent job at covering all areas of music. I make sure to keep tabs on my students' practicing as I believe in consistency. The student will be given work that is reasonable to practice once a day for at least 10-20 minutes a day. Read More
