Singing lessons should always be fun and positive. A student should come out of a voice lesson with new knowledge that they can then go and apply during their practice at home. I am a firm believer that most of the learning is done outside the lesson through the student's application of what he/she learned during the lesson. I have occasionally taught lessons during brief stints off of the road, but playing on the road has been my primary job for most of my adult life.
