I am a composer, pianist, and singer with extensive performing and teaching experience across the U.S. and in Germany and in France, Norway, and Sweden. I have performed as a soloist and ensemble member in operas and choruses and as a pianist have performed with singers, instrumentalists, choirs, and ballet companies across the U.S. and in Europe. I typically start by working through the Essential Elements method book and introduce solos, ensembles, and orchestral excerps when appropriate. I teach music to all ages, and my style varies depending on the age of the students. With young students, I may give them a little theory but more so focus on what music they like may like and want to learn. I find playing along with CDs work for some students as long they have fun. I enjoy creating original music in my recording studio and have written many songs.
