After a student is able to read music on the basic level and knows the placement of notes on the scale, we proceed to the basic repertoire and practice. I have over 10 years of experience in my field and 5 years of teaching under my belt.  Growing up with my father as a music teacher and my Grandmother as a dance teacher, teaching came very naturally to me.  Having sung a variety of genres myself, I have always welcomed a wide variety of students.  I’ve taught many types of singers ranging from Jazz Vocalists to Rock, Country, Pop, etc. and as a result I’ve put together a method of teaching that can be applied to many styles of music.  I find teaching to be a very rewarding job and always welcome new students of all ages, levels, and genres. My recent professional theater credits include: GYPSY (Louise) at The Covedale Center for the Arts (Nomination from The League of Cincinnati Theater for BEST ACTRESS), Title Role in MARY POPPINS at The Renaissance Theater, BRIGADOON (u/s Fiona) and THE DROWSY CHAPERONE at The Wick Theater, and Ensemble roles in SOME PEOPLE HEAR THUNDER (The Capital Repertory Theater) and MAMMA MIA (Theatre Aspen). For my piano students, I use different method and technique books in order to help my students learn the basics.  This includes how to properly read their sheet music so that they can pratice their skills by themselves.  I also use repetition and demonstrate different pratice skills so that my students can further advance their piano skills.
