I'm a Music Teacher/Vocal Coach in the Connecticut area where I began singing and playing the piano at the age of nine from various teachers throughout the area including the Neighborhood Music School and the Educational Center for the Arts. In 1992 I obtained a Bachelors in Music Education from Berklee College of Music and a M.F.A from Liberty University in Music and Worship. I believe that students learn by DOING, so I bring my microphone to every lesson to give them that hands on experience. I plan on having multiple recitals throughout the year so students can experience singing solo as well as in group settings. I also love to challenge my students with new songs and fun exercises weekly, making sure we are seeing that personal growth as we progress. As a child, I was endlessly inspired by my piano teacher. She was quirky and unconventional, never wanting music to feel like a "chore." When I would get frustrated with myself, she'd throw up her hands and exclaim, "let's take a break and jam!"
