This past year I took a vocal pedagogy course and part of this course was taking on college aged voice students to teach and prepare them for a recital and both of my students were successful. My teaching style is fun and goal oriented. I like to meet my students where they are and grow from there. I spend a lot of our first sessions asking questions and learning about what makes them excited about music, who they love to listen to, who they love to sing, and go from there. I believe in building a solid technique through both technical and anecdotal examples. I want to make sure I am always focused on what my student wants to get out of our time together. Read More

For some students who need advice for auditions and competitions, I love to discuss with them openly about plans, repertoire choices, and characterization, and I offer more physical and mental practice to make them well-prepared. Most importantly, also not a lot of teachers focus on, I care about warm down practice as well. Read More
