My method of teaching is that I always start from the theoretical part of every instrument or skill I teach because if they don’t have the background understanding they will be limited in their performances. I motivate by telling them my story how I started with no instrument I used borrow a two octaves keyboard from a choir member just to learn the piano my self I had no internet and no money so if I was able to learn in that condition they can do better.I teach the secrets of becoming a professional musician or music producer which one of them is consistency. My teaching experience dates back to my youth, as I began teaching private lessons at the age of 15. I have been consistently teaching students in their homes since then, with the most students since graduating from college. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. What technique do I use? Nowadays it is fashionable to use the name of a technique as if that was everything. I like to see singing from another point of view, based on the full awareness of the vocal tract. Learn to control the muscles involved in phonation (and relax those who do not!). Achieve a control that allows us to make the sound that we like, in a healthy and pleasant way. Read More

I love music and I love teaching! I graduated in 2014 with my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Utah State University and, in 2018, my Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Kansas. I had the opportunity to be a part of the Chamber Singers at both schools where I was able to perform across Utah as well as Dallas, Kansas City, China and Costa Rica. I’ve been part of ensembles on two professional recordings and remain an active performer and director of local groups in Salt Lake County. Read More

Once there, I used Utah as a base to extend my music repertoire. Having performed with several different Utah groups, including the Weber State orchestras, wind ensemble, and jazz band, Chamber Orchestra Ogden, and others, in 2016, I became an arranger and performing member of the High West Music ensemble. In the fall of 2016, I accepted a teaching position with The Battalion Drum and Bugle Corps in Salt Lake City, UT where I taught both brass and visual. Read More

I approach each student differently because each person has different strengths, needs, and goals. No two lessons are ever taught the same way because each one is tailored to the individual. I am happy to work with students on specific repertoire for auditions or other events, and/or on general literature simply for the love of singing and the joy of growth. It is important to realize that much of success depends on the motivation of the student and that there are no "quick fixes," but if we work together with realistic expectations, everyone will be successful. I really want to focus on what students want to become. It is really important to me to see a student develop a passion of music. With that everyone learns at their own pace so I want to be able to help them learn at their pace. Something I also think is important is I cannot teach everything in one session. If the student is wanting to learn and grow then they have to take on practicing on their own. Read More
