I am a prolific 24-year-old multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and music producer from Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas who is passionate about sharing my love for music and creative expression with others. Having played music my whole life, and having explored computer-based music production for a decade now, I pursued guitar studies at Berklee College of Music with a primary emphasis on jazz while enrolled in the Electronic Production & Design program. In 2014, I left school, working briefly as a QA tester and audio hardware and software developer for SONiVOX, a subsidiary company of music industry leader inMusic (mother company of AKAI, Alesis, Numark, Air, etc.). Instruments: Voice
I believe that teaching voice does not involve a one-size-fits-all method. Every one is different, and therefore every voice is unique. It's important to treat each voice individually. A positive teaching environment is vital to encourage a student's progress. Lessons should also be fun. If the student is not having fun then something is not right. I also listen to the students and find out what repertoire and styles they would like to work on. Read More

My musical experiences started at church in the 80's when I discovered that I could sing really high notes imitating Christian artists like Sandy Patty and the late puertorican soprano Yolanda Vadiz. Those experiences motivated me to consider studying music seriously not just like another hobby. I started studying voice techniques at the age of 20 at the Sacred Music Institute in the Methodist Church in Hato Rey, PR. There I took classes with tenor Jose Torres and baritone Rafael Cotto who prepared me for the audition at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. Read More

For piano ages 7-12: I typically start with Primer Piano Adventures or Level 1. I also use Keith Snell Scale Skill Levels for skill and chord practices which is helpful for all kinds of music! For guitar and ukulele: Hal Leonard guitar and ukulele method. These books also teach reading the notes in sheet music and understanding how to play them on the guitar or ukulele, as well as including a tab. Read More

My teaching style is just like most I think. I don't rush with the students. Always trying to go slow and make sure the students understands everything. I've gotten pretty good at figuring out when the students get what I'm trying to teach. If I feel like I'm going to fast I'll stop think about what I'm doing and slow down. It's easy to talk to fast and rush as a teacher because I've taught so many students. Read More

I believe first and foremost in supporting and developing what musically inspires a student’s decision to study and/or play music. In order to fully develop control, musicality and understanding of the music language, it is important to focus on several aspects of music including music theory (scale and harmonic structure/function and rhythm) ear-training, reading and performance skills. Like any aspect of life, consistency and patience are two very important qualities to posses when working towards a goal. Read More
