I graduated with my Bacholers in Music and Pyschology with a focus on opera voice in 2009. In my performance program I really grew as a vocalist and learned how to overcome my own obstacles and improve my vocal technique for myself. I feel confident now in sharing my experience and my education with my students so they are able to really grow and improve as well. From 2013 - 2021, I lived in the Czech Republic, developing personal and collaborative projects outside of classical music such as singing and composing for Yo Soy Indigo (freak-folk-jazz), Looncall (dark electronic), as well as solo performances of original music. I have a deep appreciation for all genres and love to flow through them in my vocal performance and composition styles. I've actually written and produced my own music theory book that was in all Borders stores before they closed down. I've learned a few methods and I try to incorporate them all unless the student or parents wants something specific. My method is a method where I can teach 1 thing countless ways. I love my students to learn theory because it is a very important backbone to music. Some people can play instruments without ever really kwoing what they are playing or understand the theory behind it, and I think it holds them back from truely being creative and understanding of music.    With my methods students will be able to play from any genre, any book, and hopefully will be able to create their own music. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time at various studios and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the past 6 years. I like to emphasize a consistent schedule of practice, so that this helps the student progress in their studies. For all of my students, I like to begin by teaching correct "warm-up" methods. It is important to learn how to "warm-up" correctly so as not to hurt your voice. These methods usually differ from student to student, depending on their voice. For beginning students, I would like to begin with "Twenty-Four Italian Songs and Arias".
