My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time , and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio and music schools for the last 15 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

In lessons, I emphasize enjoying the process of learning. Learning an instrument does not happen over night. It takes years of practice and can be a joyful task if one enjoys the process. I send my students home with new goals each week to help guide their practice. Read More

I have also taught general music from kindergarten up through 5th grade, and assisted bands at the university level. Read More

Myteaching methodsinvolve a mind-body experience. I believe that a strong foundation in body alignment, breath support and management will allow students to build the skills they desire, regardless of musical style or genre. With an eye always on healthy singing,Iencourage students to experience many styles of vocal repertoire. Each student brings a set of perceptions about singing. Some of these are helpful, while others are habits that students work to eliminate.I believe that students need tounderstand the physical, emotional, and mental components of singing. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons to some of my peers that were interested at that time, around 9 years ago, and since then I've been teaching students in my home country and overseas trough skype. I had the chance to teach as a professor on several colleges in my country including kids, youngsters and elder people, which I find very interesting because although they are very different I can relate to all of them in his interest to learn about music. I am a versatile music teacher. As an undergraduate at Ithaca College, I learned each band and orchestra instrument from the college instructor. For example, I learned to play the oboe from the oboe professor. We had to make our own reeds and use them to play our final exam. Through this rigorous training, I learned to play all major scales and high school level music on the flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, French Horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, violin, viola, cello, double bass, and percussion.
