Through my studio, I have taught voice, beginner violin and viola, music ensembles, music management, production, music publishing and audio engineering. I have also worked as a live sound technician for several CT venues. I currently perform in the ensemble, Ulterior Motif in the styles of neoclassical, gypsy jazz, contemporary and world music. Trombone: Tone, clarity, accuracy of pitch, and good sight reading is essential for trombone students.  We work on building a strong embouchure, consistent breath support and control, excellent posture, and how to read not only notes but rhythms accurately and with flare. The technique that I teach to my students has helped me sing for hours a day, and has gotten me through the most rigorous performances with no vocal strain or fatigue. I always introduce my students, no matter the age, to the Vaccai Vocal Methods book. This book has many exercises that takes the singer through all of the facets of their voice, and helps them hone their skills. If I find a student is too advanced for the book, we usually jump right into solo repertoire. Read More

My teaching style is based around health-promoting vocal exercises and exploration which serve to build the voice in all areas. Increased strength and flexibility in the voice work for us in any style and ultimately give us the freedom to express ourselves with greater ease. I strive for wellness in the voice and does not push people to sing in ways that create pain or stress. I like to begin with the basics of singing technique, sight reading, and music theory. In order to be a successful singer, one must be proficient in all of these! I like to assign music by the second or third lesson, depending on the student's readiness and ability. I typically assign one classical and/or one musical theater song, depending on the student's interest. I start with only these two genres because I feel that singing something that the student can hear on the radio can be difficult to sing while implementing the new technique they are learning in lessons with me. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I have entertained audiences in several different countries and I bring a unique blend of multicultural experiences into everything I do. I live in Amherst, Massachusetts where I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced vocal students via Facetime and Zoom as well as in person lessons in various locations. In my free time I love to travel.
