Yes for teaching piano I use Nancy and Randall Faber's books. I have used all of them. For guitar and mandolin I generally do not use a "book". As the lessons progress I might introduce a book if that is what is called for. All orchestral instruments call for the structure of a book and I augment that with my own explanations. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Miami University in 2018 with a Bachelors of Music degree in Vocal Performance and a minor in Musical Theatre. I have had the chance to perform around the country in various ensembles, and attended the American Institute for Musical Studies in Graz, Austria studying in their Lieder Studio. At Miami, I performed in five operas, and performed in chamber and jazz ensembles. I am a diligent and motivated musician, performer and educator who enjoys working with a variey of students looking to grow in musicianship. In 2010, I graduated with my degrees in Music Education and Applied Voice from Indiana Wesleyan University.  During my undergraduate experience I had opportunities to perform throughout Europe, to hold the honor of student conductor of the Indiana Wesleyan University Chorale, to choregoraph stage productions including multiple operas and musicals and to premier the lead role in a new musical, Where Fortunes Lie.
