We all have a tendency to be against nature. it is very important to find the right voice teachers for ourselves like finding the right physicians for ourselves who are able to help our problems and to learn about our body by nature. For the selections of song and operatic arias, I let the students select for themselves at first and I will advise them to try out the appropriate selections of song and arias for them to develop their ability to feel comfortable to sing with joy and accomplishments eventually. I was born and raised in Australia. I graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2000, and have since performed in a number of musicals and theatre productions in Oz, including Oklahoma, Les Miserables and The Vagina Monologues (2007 ITA Best Actress Award). As a critically acclaimed cabaret performer, I toured the cabaret and festival circuits in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth before moving to NYC last year. I am an Alumni of the International Cabaret Conference at Yale, won last year’s Annual Broadway Spring Festival Shana Farr Cabaret Competition and have since performed solo cabarets at the Metropolitan Room and The Duplex. Building range slowly and carefully while building stamina through exercises and pieces that will help the individual voice grow. For Jazz , I use The Michele Weir Jazz Improvisation as a starting point.
