I am a versatile singer and instructor who loves working with students of all ages. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with minors in Musical Theater and Songwriting. While in Dallas, I performed with various professional Equity musical theater companies including Casa Manana, Lyric Stage and Theater Three. I have a masters degree in Oboe Performance from the prestigious CCM, at the University of Cincinnati. I live as a freelance oboist, pianist, and vocalist in New York City, and am currently recording my first full length album. Both piano and voice students are required to become familiar with basic music theory. No worries if you are not proficient! We will get you there within the first few lessons. For piano students, I will start them with basic scales and the Hanon exercises. After the student masters a few of the beginning exercises, we will slowly begin to add repertoire that solidifies proper technique.
