After a student is able to read music on the basic level and knows the placement of notes on the scale, we proceed to the basic repertoire and practice. truly believe that singing should be a combination of passion and also technique. My lessons will focus on the fundamentals of singing in order to provide healthy vocal technique and a beautiful tone. It is extremely important in all genres for singing to have support, be able to use breath properly and have an understanding how of use the voice as an instrument properly to acheive a beautiful tone. I have been discovering my love for teaching for the last 5 years. I started within my undergrad school. I graduated from Western Carolina University in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance (Classical) as well as a minor in Psychology. I was able to perform my first professional show with Asheville Lyric opera as a chorister in La Traviata in 2012.
