After receiving Bachelor Degrees from two outstanding Chinese Music Colleges and Universities, I performed as a primary singer for a leading Chinese performance orchestra for nearly 15 years. I also won major national and regional singing competitions throughout China, including First Place in the most important national competition. For beginning students, I start with simple songs of a folk or pop nature taking into accounts the student's musical interests. I also teach basic music fundamentals including rhythms and sight-singing (the elements of reading music). For experienced students, I begin with accessing their level and choosing repertoire that is suitable for their voice type as well as interests.
