As I discovered my passion for it I continued to study it in college and graduated with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Music from Rider University. This could come down to many factors including confidence in one's self to sing, lack of knowledge of proper vocal technique, lack of consistency in one's practice, lack of drive to continue on with vocal training, etc. I'm here to not only be a positive role model as to what one should do to have proper vocal technique and be able to sing freely with ease but I'm also here as a friend to encourage my students to strive to grow, to perform and to constantly work to improve oneself to reach their goals. Let start from the ground up! With a beginner guitarist or bassist I want to both keep them excited about learning and teach the the fundamental necessary structure required to develop into a one of a kind musician. I use finger training and strengthening techniques to get the students physical ability in tip top shape, along with innovative chord ideas and mental understanding techniques. Most importantly by the end of every lesson even the first one I leave my students with a cool riff to play to show them that what they are learning is truly working, I believe this will keep students engaged in the learning and keep them working harder for the next lesson. If a student isn't having fun learning the instrument then I am doing something wrong! Learning should be fun and a joy not a chore. I try to encourage the students to practice without being told to do so. With that comes a joy of doing it on your own and for themselves not for anyone else.
