At the very beginning level I would start with fundamentals from whatever book I feel would be best for the student depending on their age and knowledge. Beforehand I definitely will need to asses their knowledge so I can do so accordingly. While you may have 1 main coach, many Vocalist find the best way to not plateau in their development is to work with several coaches to keep improving.
