I have B.M. in Acoustic Composition and Electronic Music, 10 years of playing/performing French horn, 5 rigorous years of piano instruction and performance, and a whole lifetime of singing. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part-time many years ago while learning piano at University and working in children's creative center. I began to teach students in my home studio. Working in Musical theater, I gained more experience teaching piano and voice, accompaniment to ballet classes and theatrical plays. My experience in teaching started on ships when people would approach me from different departments and ask to learn to sing. Most of the people were dancers who wanted to expand their skill sets to get higher paid positions. It soon expanded to the other Vocalists who wanted to expand their range and styles. Particularly in Opera and with their belt range. I also did a lot of work with the guest entertainers who were more experienced as entertainers but had gone a long time performing on damaged chords and needed some touch up on making certain notes easier to hit 8 shows a week. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. It's important that each of my students progress at his or her own pace.
