For Voice I cater my teaching to the student's goals and aspirations. The first 10-15 minutes of a lessons are spent doing vocal warmups and sightsinging exercises. The remaining time is spent working on repertoire that the student and myself choose together. For Piano I work out of the Faber Piano Adventure Books. These can easily be purchased on amazon after the first lesson. For continual progress, it's imperative that the student has a piano or keyboard at home to practice on. Read More

One of my greatest pleasures is imparting the knowledge that I have gained through my ten plus years of study onto others. I personalize my teaching style to the needs and temperaments of my students. When instructing, I explain concepts in multiple ways, ensuring that no matter what learning style you are, that you will able to progress and achieve. My students find me to be energetic, warm and passionate, and one of my biggest goals is to make my students feel more empowered when they leave than when they arrived. Read More

I have a great "ear" which is my best asset. I encourage each student to progress at his or her own pace. I encourage this by maintaining a stress free environment. Each student has goals that I help them set after the first lesson which I use as a baseline to gauge strengths and opportunities. Read More

Sight singing, aural skills, music theory, and efficient practice techniques will all be at the forefront. I will use a combination of sight singing exercise books and real literature to help my students fine-tune their choral singing skills at an individual level. I will periodically assess all students to make sure we are taking the most efficient approach! Read More
