For adults, I start by finding out if they are adult beginner, or adult intermediate, depending on the knowledge of singing and technique. Positive reinforcement is the most important tool any teacher can have in their arsonal, and I try to praise my students every time I notice imporvements and support and assure them when confronted with difficulties.
