My methods are based in Suzuki as I am a strong believer that students musical capabilities can be developed regardless of their musical predispositions. For beginning students that have minimal background musical knowledge, I incorporate theory and aural skill trailing into the lessons to help the students learn to read their music and apply the theoretical and technical concepts learned in each class to the repertoire studied. I am a singer-songwriter, music educator, and actress from Chicago! I have always incorporated music into my life. My parents put me into violin and piano lessons when I was only four years old! When I was about twelve, I began to do musical theatre and then joined the award-winning group Musicality in high school. In 2010, I graduated from VanderCook College of Music with a Bachelor's in Music Education. I have played in a variety of instrumental ensembles on different instruments, from euphonium, trombone, marimba and drum-set to name a few. I am motivated to helping people accomplish their goal of learning their instrument.
