I am a passionate and supportive vocal coach who loves sharing my knowledge with my students. Seeing them grow and succeed makes me feel happy. In 2016 I graduated from Saarland University of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in voice performance and vocal pedagogy. After graduation I had opportunities to sing in various concerts, opera and musical theatre productions in Germany, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, London, Nicaragua and New York. My first lesson is always focused on the student's goals. We will discuss background and interest in music. I will test range via keyboard and show activities concerning different diction exercises and breathing techniques. Every student has different learning needs and I tailor my lesson pace around them. We are making music and it shouldn't end up becoming boring, sad or depressing! I ensure that the student enjoys every moment of the lesson. I create my own lesson plans based off of the individual student. For voice students, we usually warm up, do technical exercises working on varying registers and techniques, and then work on repertoire. I often find the passages in a particular song that the student is struggling with and focus in on those, finding exercises to guide the student. After graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts (concentration in Creative Writing and Jazz Studies) in 2005, I have spent the past 17 years helping hundreds of private students of all ages, ability levels, backgrounds, and styles discover their musical voice on their chosen instrument.
