I love to have students have a conversation with me about their love for music. This is a great way to encourage them to continue with practicing outside of the lessons. If a student feels they are not happy with their voice on a certain exercise, I will modify the way I word something or have them try the exercise in a different way. I discovered my love of teaching in college when I was required to teach voice lessons as an assignment for my vocal pedagogy class. I was amazed at how fulfilling it was to share my knowledge and love of singing with my students. Since then, I have had the opportunity to teach singers of varying ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. In addition to teaching private lessons, I have also taught music, theatre, and dance lessons in class settings at Oklahoma Childrens Theatre and Bigfork Childrens Theatre. Read More
