I am very flexible in following the interests and goals of the student, which are always my guide in lesson planning. Then I do vocal exercises to find out which voice my student has whether its soprano, mezzo-soprano or altos. Once I know what type of voice my student has, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire from opera, musical theatre or pop. The greatest feeling is seeing my students build a stronger passion and appreciation for the art form! It's crucial for me that students are reminded that progression is made at his or her own pace. A common thing I notice from students is that some feel that others around them may seem to be ahead of them. I am a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and improviser who is equally passionate about teaching music as I am about playing it. I graduated with a Bachelors of Music degree in Music Composition and Music Technology from the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College.I perform often as both a solo vocalist and technologist and with my experimental RnB group The Pluto Moons.
