I am passionate and hard-working. A great deal of my free time is spent recording and producing music. I enjoy watching my students grow as much as I enjoy finding new ways of growing and learning myself. I am often most inspired by the raw and vulnerable, simple and yet hear-wrenching melodies I come across. Moments as a listener, when a melodic theme takes over and everything else seems to dim out, almost as background noise, are my absolute farovite. Read More

We begin with gradual warm-ups then move onto the student's chosen selection, working on melody and rhythm before learning text and interpreting the arc of the song. Whether it's an uptempo musical theater ballad, a Mozart aria, jazz or pop selection, we end with working on capturing the artistry and vocal style of a chosen piece. Come in and work on improving your singing or prepare for your next studio recording, audition, performance, or karaoke gig with friends! Read More

My teaching style is two part. Many teachers approach each student with the same routine and technique, and don't really listen to the issues the student has or wants to discuss. I listen to students' thoughts and observations, and address their issues and concerns specifically; as well as coming in with my own plan for what can be improved and how to go about achieving the students' goals and what needs to occur for improvement in my professional opinion. As a working composer, I have been given the opportunity to score short films that have entered the festival circuit, collaborating with directors internationally. I have worked with game designers on video game apps to score and design unique soundscapes. Read More

I believe that the best results will always come when students truly love what they are doing. Therefore, it is important to me to make sure that the class is enjoyable. I encourage students to set goals for themselves on what they need to accomplish at each lesson. Lastly, praise and acknowledgement must be given as much as possible. Sometimes, the error's you are making during a performance isn't about technique, but about self confidence. Read More
