I love to perform and I love to teach! As a performer, I am comfortable in opera, musical theater, recital, and concert settings. I have had the pleasure of performing with organizations like Opera Piccola, San Antonio Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Austin, the Theater Company of Fort Lee, Capitol Opera Richmond, and Classical Revolution RVA. My teaching experience is fairly new but as a senior I helped many of the incoming freshman with their technique and how to approve upon it. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule i one of the key points I like t emphasize for all students, as it helps the student to progress and gain a higher understanding and confidence in their voice. In 2022, I graduated with my Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Binghamton University. Over the past ten years, I have spent time performing on stage in concerts, operas, and musical theatre. For Voice Students: I start each lesson with 10-15 minutes of vocal warm-ups and scales. The remainder of the lesson revolves around vocal pieces that either I think would be a good match for the voice, age, maturity, and ability of the student, or preparing a student for an audition or performance that they would like to perform a specific piece for. I also like to incorporate sight reading and ear training into my lessons, especially as the student grows into their voice. Read More
