- As a foundation principle of the Functional Voice Method communication is essential. There should be a very open and honest dialog between teacher and student. You can, and I encourage my students to ask, propose and work together. - Because posture, movement and breathe have such a mutual influence; we usually need some work or excercise regarding the body (movements envolving legs, arms, walking, jumping and a large etcetera). - Having fun while training is extremely important to me. First of all I feel the student should be comfortable and relaxed with playing music you shouldn't be tense (hence the pocket). Secondly, they should know every aspect of their instrument. And thirdly, they should know how to hold and play their instrument (with fingers or mouth). also through some music theory in. But, foremost I want the student to enjoy playing so, they can pick what ever they want to learn. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to high school when I started teaching cello to students in my school district's orchestra program. Since then, I have continued to teach freelance through personal connections, Musika, and various non-profit organizations. Furthermore, I am currently in my internship to become a board certified music therapist, and have experience teaching music to individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and dementia/Alzheimer's. I've been teaching private music lessons since I first started college in 2004. I've taught at community centers, afterschool programs, and music stores since graduating in 2008, and started my own home studio about 2 years ago. I like to teach the rudiments, as the fundamentals of music and of one's instrument provide the solid base upon which all else is built, though I also stress creativity for all my students. I encourage students to draw from many genres of music, and not limit themselves to one style or method of playing. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to around 2017 when I first took a class in vocal pedagogy. In the class, I learned about the inner workings of the voice, the musculature and how to properly teach voices of any age. Since then, I have been working diligently to relay the most valuable information from my own teachers to my own students including proper breath support, open throat singing, and above all, having fun while doing so. What musical accomplishments are you most proud of?
Doing what I feel I am called to do use my gift God gave me to make a positive difference in the world and make the world a happier place but spreading joy using my talents Singing for God Spreading his word to his people as a church cantor and the official parish committee singer for three churches of St Oscar Romero Parish. My HomeTown Parish.
Why did you choose your primary instrument?
It’s truly a part of who I am
When I was a very very little kid my family told me I had perfect pitch as I sang and wrote songs around the house so I educated myself with their help getting me everything I needed and taking me to lessons because they are the most incredible people ever ! I knew it from then that was the only job I ever wanted and was ever gonna have. And I know I’m most people need other jobs but not me I refused to get any other job but the money I make from my music and my family helped me do that. I was always a dramatic performer. I always unlike the other kids was never nervous I was always excited I lived for the spotlight and the more people in the crowd made me do better and feel more alive and excited performing. Plus I like dress up. ????? This is simply who I am and what I am called by God to do I feel it with every fiber of my being. I will bring my gift of music and share it with the world. I’d enjoy the chance helping others do the same with their talents too. Music and Singing Completes me. It’s my purpose.
How do I know if my child is ready to start lessons?
Trust Me You Will Know By Their Passion for Music…………
If it’s in Their Heart then it will Show and when it comes out through song its beautiful….
When will I start to see results?
Everyone learns at their own pace so this is hard to foresee however the student will learn something new resulting in something new that they didn’t know before that’ll help them improve even more at the next upcoming steps that they can take home and practice on their own
What advice do you have about practicing effectively?
1st I’d say Patience
Next it’s okay to not get something the first time simply Try it again
(But it is important to remember don’t overdo it pushing any notes in your chest voice)
