For beginning students who are children, I typically start with a modified Suzuki method, starting with rote learning and eventually progressing to notated music. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Business/Management (principal instruments: violin and voice). My career in the music industry has ranged from artist management, record labels, and recording studio management all while teaching violin and voice in my spare time.
